Libertad Esmeralda Iocco

(she/her) is a contemporary and tango dancer, teacher, and choreographer from La Plata, Argentina. She graduated from the Escuela de Danzas Clásicas de La Plata and continued her training through various contemporary dance classes and workshops. In 2022, she completed the intensive dance program at DART Studios in Berlin, where she worked with several renowned choreographers and teachers.

Alongside her contemporary dance career, Libertad has been dancing tango since 2014. She is currently based in Berlin, where she performs, develops her own choreographic work, and teaches contemporary dance, tango, and Pilates.

Since 2020, she has been a member of Fraktalwerk Projekt Raum, an interdisciplinary art collective dedicated to creating participatory art productions. Her artistic research focuses on developing her own movement language through improvisation and gesture, drawing on elements from dance, theatre, and everyday life. She often works in unconventional spaces and incorporates objects and interdisciplinary approaches into her creative process.
